Lead Surgical Technician, Bereavement Specialist
Growing up to be a nurse or veterinarian was always on Judy Delarosby’s mind as a child. She was born in Michigan but, Palm Coast has been her home for over 28 years.
Felines seem to migrate to Judy knowing that she is a true cat lover! She shares her home with felines, Simon, Jasmine, Lily, Monkey, Grady & Kitten, and Kelsey, her “human” daughter, a certified paramedic.
Judy earned her A.S. Degree in Veterinary Technology at St. Petersburg College and received her Certified Veterinary Technician status shortly after graduation. She has been with FAH for over thirteen years. The designation of CVT requires specialized training which has helped Judy earn her title as the Head Surgery Technician. Judy has been instrumental in creating, revising and implementing surgery protocols for the assistants and technicians who work in the surgical department. Judy is also our bereavement specialist and has assisted many hospital clients in dealing with the passing of their beloved pets.
Judy credits her longevity here at FAH due to her work family, some of the best people she’s ever met and had the privilege to work with. She stays up to date on the latest veterinary technology through continuing education courses and seminars.
When Judy isn’t assisting the doctors in surgery, her spare time is spent helping and caring for feral cats in our community. She hopes to educate people on “trap, neuter & return” and its advantages. Her dream is to one day have her own “cat sanctuary” where feral cats can live out their lives in peace and know they will be cared for, safe, and loved.
